A smooth path to happiness and positivity, makes life and the journey make a beautiful balance like the two wheels of the bicycle. But as we know every day is not the same.

Infertility is a rising problem in many couples lives nowadays. I also faced this fearful problem of infertility like any other female who is standing in an infertility clinic with hope.

I know getting things we wish we had in mind is not so easy. For a woman who is struggling to get a baby of her own in her arms and a failure in her wishes for joy makes her lonely with frustration, irritability, and lots of tears.

What is Infertility?

Infertility is a problem in both males and females for failure to get a positive result from pregnancy in one year or more of regular unprotected sexual relationships.

Causes:

  • Global warming has increased infertility tremendously.
  • In women, causes of infertility can include problems in the uterus, uterine fibroids, and thyroid problems.
  • Men with fertility problems may have a low sperm count.
  • The risk of infertility increases with your age (over age 35 for women or over 40 for men).
  • Modern lifestyle, stress, obesity, and substance abuse contribute to the problem.
  • Diabetes
  • Overeating or less eating problem
  • Over-exercising

India has a population of as many as 27.5 million infertile people, including men and women in 2022 as per WHO. Infertility affects approximately 15% (3.9 to 16.8%) of Indian couples.

The same was the case with me. I had undergone various procedures, which always kept me anxious.

I kept shifting from allopathic treatment to Ayurvedic medications, hoping that someday something would work.

Treatment:

Infertility has different modes of treatment.

  • HCG injections are hormonal injections. These injections are given before ovulation to strengthen ovulation and then ovulation is monitored.
  • HSG X-ray test to find the problem in the uterus and also checks for blocks in the tube.
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a type of artificial insemination that is a process for treating infertility. Your spouse's sperms are washed and placed directly in the uterus around the time of ovary release to get pregnant.
  • IVF (in vitro fertilization) is a fertilization process in which eggs with sperm are mixed in vitro. After monitoring ovulation an ovum is taken from their ovaries and lets sperm fertilize them in a culture medium in IVF centres.

In my case, me and my husband faced six failed IUIs. Tears rolled down our eyes. We were at peace for a while as my health and finances were not supportive at that time for the IVF treatment.

Both of us as a couple supported each other. There was always a slight hope from within our hearts. We were trying to be free from stress.

Suddenly, one fine day, there was lots of grace from God to me as a woman. My report showed good results POSITIVE FOR PREGNANCY. The report was positive in December 2008.

I was overjoyed but still became cautious each day. A cute little baby was born in August 2009. The beauty of being a mother came to me. Now my son is 13 years old.

All I want to say to each, and every woman is that it’s always a fruitful end, and if it is not fruitful, it is not the end.

Every couple that’s been in a place of wanting a child knows the feeling of sorrow and the dreadfulness that you go through with every trial with fertility.

DON’T BE STRESSED UP IN LIFE - JUST WALK IN PEACE.
