Since women are working and equitably splitting the financial burden for a better future for their families, work-life balance has become an important topic.

Women are entering the workforce, and they do so even after being married. In terms of caring for children and family, women have more duties than men.

For the majority of married working women, finding a work-life balance is difficult, and they continue to struggle. With the recent changes in our social-political environment, where we are moving toward a culture where women are closer to receiving equal opportunities as men and the majority of women are seeking employment to support their families, they are suffering from depression due to this imbalance between work and life.

The best approaches for women to combine career and family life are as follows:

  • Exhaustion might result from taking on more responsibilities at work and at home. To start, divide tasks and obligations among your family members to lighten the load and consider flexible working hours. This enables working women to feel more present and to devote more time and effort to caring for their families and kids. Maintain sound limits and work on being assertive.
  • Families have a lot of expectations for married women, especially if they have children and elderly relatives to look after. They have the responsibility of juggling their family and careers. To split the workload, enlist the aid of people in your job and personal life. Prioritizing your demands might help you figure out how to manage your time effectively among all your duties and responsibilities.
  • More than anything else, self-care should come first. You should maintain a healthy routine, drink plenty of water, spend time with yourself, and use your interests to stay connected to your emotions. Effective time management will help you manage work-life balance by completing simple activities first based on priorities and adding mindfulness practices like meditation or self-introspection and yoga. Have a weekly meeting with a close friend or relative who is dealing with comparable difficulties in her career or personal life.
  • Working women have stress and anxiety episodes because they can't devote enough attention to their families and jobs. Inform your spouse in detail how you are feeling whether you are under pressure at work or caring for your family members. Having these kinds of dialogues with your spouse will enable you to resolve all your issues, and their support is what you really need.
  • When your life is getting exhausting or too stressful, give yourself some quality time or mini treats. You can't work continuously, and taking a break will help you be more dynamic at your work. Treat yourself to some good times like dinner, shopping, and the things that make you happy. Set hobby time; this will help you refresh your mind and body.
  • Set some time boundaries between your family and work. It will help you balance both areas perfectly. Be firm about not working extra time in the office or when you're burdened or busy with family duties, even if your work is very important. Setting boundaries is only possible when the surrounding people can follow them as well.
  • If those around you are always criticizing how poorly you manage your life, stay away from them. Keep in mind that you already face enough pressure and don't need further criticism to drag you down. These people are criticizing you in an effort to distract you and eliminate all optimistic thoughts from your mind.
  • If your working hours are too long and you can't handle the household chores when you get home, ask for help. It won't give you the impression that you're incapable or weak, but it will offer you more time to spend with your family. Having a housekeeper available at certain times might be really helpful.
